Dont know about the surf.....but it was flying HIGHHHH at flatwater friday.

Phantoms are awesome in the surf. In fact it's my favorite hull I've rode in the surf. Rode one at the Carolina beach freeride

I love it in the surf. My current setup is a little much for the surf, I'll remove the tl for surf rides. I brought everything down to daytona to swap and drop it in the surf but I was a little to busy or lazy saturday to swap the stuff.

I'm building one for friend, so I'll just have to wait for it to be done. Just waiting for a few more key parts to be bought. It's like 3/4 done
