Anyone change Nanco beach cart tires?

Has anyone ever changed the Nanco beach cart tires? I rarely use my tote and the tires are super cracked and dry rotted. I really have trouble justifying the $110 apiece for tire and wheel through sail craft. Found a pretty good deal on the tires, but heard they might be pretty tough to get on. Anybody have any experience with putting tires on the nylon wheels?
Thanks

Yes About a year ago I refurbished an old KG tote before selling it. Cut old tires off with a razor knife, then took everything to the little mex tire shop in town, $10 mounted both on the plastic rims Think I was under $100 all in.

I went to a tire place and they referred me to a golf cart place, and the golf cart place said to go to a tire place. Guess I’ll have to try another tire place.
@TheBuzzard : innovative. Thinking about alternative ideas, could put expanding foam in the tires…
Thanks for the reply’s

That would be heavy. Foam.

They slide on pretty easy but getting the bead to seal and air up can be a nightmare. I made the mistake of using too much starting fluid on one when I couldn't get it to seal. It exploded and shot straight up 100 feet and dropped out of the sky like a stone. Broke the rim. My neighbor down the street saw the whole thing and said wtf? Lol

@TheBuzzard I would have love to have seen that.

I ordered a fresh set of tires because…… Why not? I was actually surprised to find that there were tubes in the old tires. Do most beach totes run tubes? Or that is just what you do when your tires get old and cracked? I think I might put the tubes back in even with the new tires, it seems like a good way to go.

They don't run tubes or need tubes unless they leak. Walmart had some dirt cheap tires some years back. Like $19 each online with local pickup. That didn't last long. The best tires and rims are wheeleze but the big ones are $130+each

I have never had any luck with that cause it does not turn solid and expand like it does in free air. Being inside the tire it tends to mostly stay liquid like in the can. I have tried it a couple of times and mostly succeeded in making a mess every time.

I replaced tires a few years ago on my 30 year old ac cart that’s been rewelded and works good still lol i got them on ebay I think for 80$. Replacing them was a snap especially if you’ve ever changed dirt bike tires its alot easier. Just put new valve stems in . Good to hear from you Eddie glad you’re riding PM sent

i did put some work into cleaning the plastic rim at the bead area getting it smooth with some heavy scotch pad and used plenty of lube on both tire and rim and she’s like brand new ,bead seated great. I have replaced the axle many times but now I use a hollow piece of stainless steel pipe 1” OD I think and a fresh set of bushings from Sailcraft and she rolls as good as I can pull it.
