AR pistol lower recommendation?

I'm considering purchasing an AR pistol lower.

I'm not really interested in getting an entire gun right now, mainly due to money.

I was thinking of just getting a lower for now and then build it out later.

Anybody have recommendations on what to get and what to avoid?

Stay away from the polymer!!! Some have had good luck, but after @ 30 rounds the buffer tube mount snapped off.
The lower had a lifetime warranty, but when I got the other it only lasted @ 45 rounds.
Survey Says... Stay away!!!

This is the first I have ever heard about a Polymer lower having an issue. I was thinking about using one for a light weight build too.

Poly lowers got a bad rap out of the gate for that reason. Check out the ones made by JMT, they're beefed up around the buffer tube to prevent that.

Just be carefull if you get a pistol stamp on the receiver, and make it a rifle ,or vise versa..Look into the stamp,or paperwork that goes with the lower, read about the rifle / pistol stamp . Midway has a complete AR For $ 499-599 .Spikes tactical was a sought after lower for awhile. Check gunbroker.com

Aero Precision is one of the leading manufacturers of forged lowers. Aero Precision is rumored (has never been verified due to non-disclosure agreements) to supply other manufactures with lowers, but puts their roll mark on instead. Aero Precision started their precision machining business in the aerospace industry, but now has since moved into the AR market. I would not hesitate to buy one of their products.

The sell uppers, lowers, and railed. They also provide cerakote options if you really like to color match your Koolaid.

Lowers are not important, as long as everything is a tight fit spend the money on a barrel and trigger.
lowers are important if you ever want to sell it.. I'd suggest buying a spikes or other well known name brand lower the extra $25-$50 will probably help sell it for 3-500 more down the road....
