Custom/Hybrid are msd coils an improvement over oem

I have a brand new msd coil i aquired over the years and im wondering is their a improvement over oem coils running them or not worth the time to install

They are pretty well known for failing

the common opinion is that they are WORSE than stock. My experience agrees with that too. I removed mine and put a new OEM in a while ago.

I didn't run one them on my total loss, but I did use an JSS oem coil without any issue.

I had this x4 (all at one time). Bought two, neither worked (would start but instant misfire). Sent them back to msd, two weeks later the same two coils ship back with a note saying they were good. Install them and instant misfire. Call msd, they tell me no problem we will send you two more that have just been made. Get the two new ones in and both have instant misfire. The last trial was on a ski that had no issues, i disassembled the e box JUST to try theses coils. Plug each of the 4 in and tighten them down, instant misfire. Plug stock coil with my wires and ends in and the ski runs 100%. I Finally got frustrated and threw them all in a box. Im told they will def work with total loss even though that is not what they were intended for. Anyone wanna try them????
