B pipe chamber question...

Location

Hi all,

I've bought a used but refurbished B pipe for my Superjet.

The chamber looks like it has a water feed that has been blocked off that I have not seen on any of the other chambers I have seen.

Anyone know when it would be used/why it was added?

Looks like a water injection bung. Normally those go on the headpipe so either someone put it in the wrong place, or it was a two stage kit. As long as it's sealed up good I wouldn't worry about it.

Maybe an EGT probe? Either way I agree with Dustin, as long as it's sealed it shouldn't be a problem.

Looks like a mod chamber to me. My limited doesn't have that welded seam under your fingertips but my buddy's mod chamber does.

We did something like that on our 'B' pipe some years ago.
We used a water injection solenoid that was hard wired to a waterproof switch so when we needed to do slower tricks and didn't want the normal power that the engine made, the rider just fliped the switch on and gave the ski about half power from the water injection over wetting the pipe!

Ive been say this for some time now..
If pros had something like this, or a second timing curve that they could press via a handle bar button, they could throw in some cool old skool tricks along with the backflips/b rolls. It might impress the judges even more so...
