Backie-Chan Tank Options

Well, I wasn't sure where to put this, and i didn't think putting it in the battle threads would be very helpful, so figured i would post this question here. I am planning on picking up my first AM hull this weekend, its local, a fair price, and its a Chan. One of my top few choices. I am a bit concerned with the fuel tank options, as i don't like the idea of only having a Kart size tank as sometimes I find myself chasing yachts out quite a bit from shore. Many have mentioned using a 550 tank which is what the seller has in it currently, but I'm not sure this tank would fit with a limited B-Pipe setup. Does anyone know whether these 550 tanks will fit with a limited pipe? Seems the tank would not fit between the chamber and the battery box?

Ok, I remember you saying you had the tank, but didn't know what pipe. My next question was going to cover the waterbox. So I guess ATP works? I presume my square nose FPP one will be a bit too tall?

What motor/ carbs are you running? I can ride for over an hour with a 771 and dual 38's on a cart tank.
I have a 550 tank sitting in my garage, I guess I should look into swapping it over.

Anyone have a picture handy of how they're running the 550 tank?

I have a first gen Xmetal water box, the one with dual outlets for front and rear exhaust. One has been welded up. Its a little loud, but I love the way it sounds and it fits okay.

Man, I get 15 minutes on my 9l tank... But I can't walk for an hour after that 15 minutes so I guess it's all good.

If anyone can supply a photo I would be super grateful. My biggest question is mounting points etc. Do you make a new mounting cup/ base like the one Steve made for the small fuel cells?

They aren't the most descriptive pics, but it shows where the mounting points are, they just look like kart tank mounting points. The second shows how the previous owner had the tank set in, and he just ran the straps over it.

for what its worth I have ran both a 550 tank and a kart tank in my hull (rok). With the limited 61x set up it went for over an hour of chasing boats no problem. By that time I need a break anyways and go fill up. Currently using the kart tank because it looks cleaner, and fits better.
