The hull rides excellent IMO. I have a ~75lb (hood & hull) carbon Kevlar example and with a JM771 and a 144 Solas Mag, it has amazing pop. Others who have been on my ski and are unbiased feel claim it has similar pop to a ~100lb AM hull with a ~900cc motor. Grabbing a hand full of throttle will launch the ski clear out of the water. I had the same motor in a SJ hull and I wasn't blown away with the performance, but in my Chan it feels like a monster. I can only imagine how this hull would perform with a larger motor. I rode ADDict's Chan briefly with a 900 Scream and was a arm-yanker.
As mentioned, it carves great for being so short, but will slide. Also changing the length of the ride plate and intake grate allows you to change the ride to how it fits you best.
The lake I ride on is very very choppy at times, and when trying to chase boats I do obviously get knocked around a lot more than a SJ or other stock hull, because it is so short, wide and light, it rides on top of the surface at speed. But that is a physics thing IMO, and any short, wide, light hull should have that issue, to some degree anyway.
I've been impressed with how robust they are, after dozens of failed flip attempts all my ski has suffered is gel coat cracks. I have some damage on the nose but riding without a limiting rope caused some initial damage. But even with the gel cracking, the core appears to be holding up very well.
