FX-1 Bad Relay or something else

My FX stranded me last week with no response when I would hit the starter button. Through reading on the baord I replaced my relay a week ago. Went out for a ride today and after 1 tank of gas the problem is back again. I got the ski home, removed the elec box arched the wire on the relay and behold, the ski came to life again. The relay I bought was brand new. Is it possible I got a bad one or is something going on that would cause me to kill a brand new relay?

Sounds like a switch problem. Disconnect the start/stop switch connectors and jump the start connector pins, if it turns over the problem is in the switch.

Well something started working after disconnecting the starter plug pulling the housing off the switch and reconnecting again. Might take a hose to the engine bay and see if I can get it to fail again
