OK Saki, from what I can see, you are trying to roll like you would in the waves.
It looks like you're trying REALLY hard to get up high, instead of focusing on your rotation.

The two key things I have found that make a HUGE difference are this:
Put your pole ON the hood - litterally, listen for the 'clunk' when you leave your set-up wave.
Smack your butt with your heels, and land that way.

Those two things made me get all the way around.

And another KEY thing to do is twist your throttle so that it's pointing farther down.
It will force your elbows up, and get you over the pole and in a better position.

I'll try to get an admision vid soon. My rolls are pathetic and I can't get a very consitant set up wake.

do you guys do a u turn or just a 90 degree turn for your set up wake?

Once I get my ski running again I'll try to get some video of myself and maybe freestyleriverrat before/after his Malone clinic trip. My technique is crap, and I'm sure since it's been 4 weeks since I rode it's even worse if that's possible.

Great advise.... I always wind up doing inverted subs... I can feel the pole come away from the hood and I wind up almost standing back upright in the tray before I make it around. I'll have to keep those points in the back of my head next time out. Thought I broke my neck last time that happened.

Thanks for posting that Geek... will probably help a lot of peeps out.

Nice!

With Pete's help, I tried a lot my first weekend. Then busted my skull the next weekend so I haven't really been too into fine-tuning them. This is the best pic I got from that first day, some are better than others but I clearly need more tuck and a bigger setup would help. I use about a 60-75 degree turn to make all six inches of my setup wake

That's a good tip about the throttle but I like mine straight out in case I want to fumble over a 5050.

No BR expierence, but I've been making a set-up wake on my couch (still SJ hunting) doing a tight S-turn accelerating straight, then turning and using the second wave. When I get it just right, the wake is 1.5 feet or bigger, but that might be because of the big couch hull. The second blue arch is the bigger wake and is nice if you come at it from an angle (unlike I drew it).
