Battery dead

Charged battery all night in the ski and unplugged it this morning. After work go to start the ski and dead, hardly cranks.

Buys new battery. Ski starts right up. Ski dies while riding 20 minutes later and battery is dead. Won't hardly roll over again.

What is draining my battery so fast?

Could a burnt up voltage regulator be the problem?

Yes, if you had hooked up your battery wrong once you could have shorted the diodes in the regulator. They would now conduct both ways- I doubt it would discharge your battery as quickly as you described.
