Battery, starter?? please help.

hi,

what kind of battery do you use? I still run the original stock sj battery but I think it s time for a stronger one. can anyone recommend one??

Does anybody have experience with high torque starters?? I just saw something like that on sbt, is it just junk or worth the money??

I use the Odysey drycell batteries. You cant go wrong with the drycell type batteries. They dont leak and they are way more forgiving than the stock battery if you need to do alot of cranking.

I am using a AGM battery just like the Odyssey brand. It is a Magna Power which is exactly the same as the Deka brand battery. Actually Deka makes them and just sells them under both names. They are around the same price as the Odyssey, I got mine from a wholesaler that I know for a good discount. You might be able to find the Magna Power at one of your local auto parts stores like Advanced or Autozone for a good price.

Here is a retailer on ebay that has the Deka ETX16 for a buy it now at $58. I have been running mine for two years with no problems. Lots cheaper than the Odyssey for the same technology. Be sure and get the riser plate as these batteries are a little shorter than the stocker. It should come with one.

I use Jetworks KB-35 batteries. Nothing better out there. There's also nothing better than the OEM starter.

i bought a high torque starter from riva and so far so good. time will tell. i bought their sealed battery as well and well...it works.

I bought a Lynn Vick dry cell battery last year and it's been great.
