Battery's keep going bad in 550

Went through 2 batteries in the last 2 seasons. Is that normal or can the ski be causing them to go bad? Fully charged turns over really good about 2 times and after that it turns over really weak, almost feeling like its about to die. Could the ski cause this?

Doesn't sound right. Do you have a bilge pump with auto switch?

No, going to trickle charge battery overnight and see if it needed a slow charge

had that happen many times with my old 550. I think I just started undoing the battery when not using. Its the electronics I think. They just draw a small current while sitting there............ Cannot prove this theory.

I think the starter might be starting to go. I tried another battery in my ski and did the same thing as before and then I took my battery and put it in a different ski and it was fine. Ill probably replace the starter this winter, for now it does the job

I had a 440 that did something similar. I found that a ground connector for the stop button had come loose in the ebox and was shorting out which in turn caused the stop button to not work properly(it wouldn't always kill the ski) and killed the battery. I went through 2 of them in a matter of weeks. Now that the connector is where it should be, I have had the same battery in it going on three years.

hook it up to the house get a volt meter and see if the stator is charging the battery....

It just needed a new starter easy fix
