So I just picked up a 650sx with out a trailer. Luckily I have a long bed Toyota, so I will haul it in that. My uncle has a lake house, and I would like to not have to bother him when I put my ski in and take it out the water. My dad picked up this garden wagon cart thing and I worked on turning that into a launch cart/ garage cart most of the day yesterday. I plan on swapping the wheels over from the rotted red wagon, repainting, building bunks and installing a ring hitch so I can pull out the cart with my truck!
I originally planed on swaping the wheels off my childhood wagon, but the turned out to be too wide. So my only option left was to redo the green wagon with the frozen bearings.
I took apart the old wheels so I can remove the stuck on bearings and prep for paint. I used a sledge hammer and a pipe to drive the bearings out if all the wheels. Then, of to home depot to pick up bearings and zirk fittings for grease. 50$ later im all set. Drilled zirk fittings and started paint prep.
Before and after using a wire brush on the end of the Dewalt. Did this x8 for all the wheels and the backs.
Wiped down with paint thinner and started paint.
Sprayed down the wheels with Paint-Primer 2in1 and did 3 coats and let em dry overnight. That's where I am now. Today im going to assemble the wheels and use some leftover Linex bedliner from my truck to "paint" the wagon part of the build!
