Being Stationed in NC

hello, its been awhile since I've been on the site, because i enlisted into the armed services (USMC) and i will soon be getting stationed in Bogue, NC, so since i sold all my skis prior to enlisting to cover bills and what not while i was away in boot camp i figured i would post on here to see if there are any local riders in the area that wouldn't mind hanging out and riding together and what the market for skis is like also because i would like to purchase another ski or 2 once i'm settled in. Being so close to Atlantic Beach i figured the surf scene would be pretty good

I'm just south of you Teufel Hunden! There are lots of great surf riding opportunities in the area. Message me when you're settled in and I'll show you some riding spots.

There's a few of us that drive out on Carolina Beach pretty regular. Hit me up if you ever feel like heading down that far.

Also there's the freeride in a couple months. That's some of the first weekends of not needing a wetsuit. Come out there and you'll find some more people around this area.

ok thanks, Carolina beach is only roughly 2 and a half hours from me so it would definitely be worth the drive for some ride time that is for sure, no just to find a ski and a place to keep it since i will be living on cherry point and the barracks dont really have garages lmao, what are the names of the free rides out there, i from Florida so the only one i really payed attention to was Daytona free ride

Thanks for your service. I won't hold it against you for choosing the Marines though. :)
Little advice. Keep out of trouble, do what you are told, take initiative and do what needs to be done and your chain of command will take notice. Get your schools knocked out so you can get promoted ahead of your peers as well. With the current political climate, being in the military is tough right now. A lot of downsizing so you need to do what you have to do to set yourself above your peers. I retire from the Army at the end of the year so I have seen the military change since I went in in the early 90's. Good luck to you and for God sake keep your head down.
