ive seen them break apart and go through the motor...if i remember correctly it resulted in a new top end...

I've seen them break apart as well but you have more than enough warning before it happens. It'll get smashed in first and then after a long time of that, it may start to tear but you'll know. Turf will just make it worse and running a big spacer plate is like going to the ER for a splinter.

BEST FIX ? Go back to the stock airbox....aftermarket sux and cause more probs than benefits....IMO

I bought a plate for it. That will fix the problem.
