Best Hull for flatwater AND surf

Hey guys I’m looking to purchase my first after market hull. I was hoping to get some opinions on what a good Hull would be to ride surf and also flatwater. I live in jersey and will most likely ride lakes more as I live on one but also want to ride surf with it. I was looking at the super freak titan and I also like the EME roid. I would like to know your input and also let me know if you know of any better hulls for what I’m looking to do. I know the only ski manufacture In the area is tiger craft and they look like they put out good skis too. Thanks

I will tell you my WDK RIP seems to really only be flat water oriented. It doesnt seem stable enough at speed to ride surf.
I have extended the ride plate a few inches which helped dramatically, but I wouldn't reccomend it for the surf.

Based on having read through a zillion of these types of posts, you will get these responses:

1. A bunch of people will tell you go to ride whatever you think you might buy (probably good advice)

2. A bunch of people will tell you no hull will work for both

3. A bunch of people will tell you some hull that is great for doing both, top contenders will be superfreak, phantom, some specific flavor of Rickter, and a few odballs will be in there, then other people will say no actually those hulls don't work well for one or the other thing

You are in Jersey and where one of the best is made, Tigercraft. The aquabot V2 is a great flat/surf combo. I can rip mine full throttle in the lake and play on boat wakes as well as rip in the surf. I have ridden all of his hull makes, and like them all but prefer the v2 since its smaller. Rickter edge is good, and most of my buddies ride one but I still like the playful feeling of the tigercraft. It is all personal preference and you won't really truly know until you hop on a few for test rides.

Best advice is to get yourself to a Freeride and try to ride some different skis. That will be the best way to figure out what you need before spending thousands on something you may or may not like.

Oh awesome dude yeah super close, I live right over by the windlass. I have a revolver I’d let you test ride but it’s definitely not what you’re looking for, it’s an aggressive flat water ski.

I’d agree with people above saying that you should checkout a free ride try to ride a few different skis.

Although a tiger craft sounds like it’s right up your alley... a lot cheaper than a rickter for same quality and can’t beat supporting local

haha iv been doing my research...I know an eme micro is not what I’m looking for. Like you said support local. I ride dirt bikes and i know a lot of guys that ride with me do ride tiger crafts...I was definitely considering them as well just wanted to see what you guys who have been riding skis for a while thought

In all honesty I love my set up. It is a Tigercraft M1 with carbon up up and fiberglass lower deck. I can flatwater flip it and I also don’t have to worry about it blowing apart in the surf.

I've heard great things about the M1 as well. No first hand experience however.

I actually have an Aquabot V1. I'm a beginner on it an I love it so far. Just fun to throw around!

I absolutely love my Edge FS - Its amazing ski. They have proven themselves in the surf, I am only riding this on FW. Definitely give one a test ride before you purchase something.
