Super Jet Big Bore Advice

So I got a 99 RN with head and pipe. I'm thinking its time for me to upgrade and get some more power out of my 701. Anyone know anything about the GroupK 845cc "hammer" freestyle big bore kit? Anyone have any good/bad luck with dealing with them?

I know a few places that offer big bore kits anywhere from 771 and bigger but I don't know much about GroupKs products/results compared to the rest. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

Not only is Group K overly conservative to the point of making less powerful motors than the competition, but all the reviews /opinions I've seen and heard of the 845 kit have not been favorable

chriselmore can you tell me why dont bother with groupk? To high in price? not good quality? pain in the ass to deal with? The others are just better at building motors? Thanks I am just curious about this kit too, it looks ok online for the price.

exactly what matt said. Waaaaaay to conservative and expensive.ive rode a jetworks bigbore 760 and a groupk bigbore 845 and the jetworks killed it!!!! The 845 made some more rpms but us freeride/fresttle guys never see or need.the jetworks was ridiculous. Art is the man 617 cylinders

I will say that Harry (Group K) is very well spoken, very polite, and a pleasure to deal with. His prices are decent, and his work is of good quality. But there are much better performing motors out there for the same (or less) money

Check out the Jetmaniac/Blue ported big bore. You would be hard pressed to get more bang for your buck. I called about having my 701 bored, ported... and ended up buying a whole new motor for what I was expecting too pay for a top end elsewhere. Mine is the 718... I think new one available is 771?? At least give him a call. If it turns out his motor isn't what you're looking for, I guarantee he will point you in the right direction.

Jetmaniac/Blue should be at that list, his BB is insane, people rode at Daytona, and they didnt believe was only a 760cc with cheap @ss stock 38 carbs, send him a PM I know he has 2 ready for shipping> and I bet his BB will be cheaper that any of thoses above.

check it out

don't bother with groupk. Jetworks, dasa, xmetal, lpw are the way to go. They all build top notch motors. Can't go wrong with either one.

Nobody is collecting data so nobody really knows anything. Just buy what looks cool or whatever your favorite rider uses. You wont know any better or worse.

I got the Group K 780cc big bore hammer kit a few years ago (before they came out with the 845cc kit). I've got to tell you, I have been pretty pleased with it. They may be more conservative than some of the others, but reliability is kind of nice, too. Also, Harry and Gerhart at Group K were really nice to work with when I was working to get it tuned.
