SX/SXi/SXi Pro BIG Rider looking for Help

Location

Hello everyone
I'm looking for some help on what mods yall recommend for my ski to get some more low end power for flat water freestyle I'm a really big guy and need some extra braaaaaap. Here are the details.

Rider is 6'5" 300lbs, not chubby just BIG

My ski is a 93 750sx which my Dad bought 24 years ago direct from kawasaki. It was modded with Coffman exhaust system, advanced timing, eleminator prop, and an ocean pro finned ride plate 23 years ago, and a new aftermarket air filter this year.last compression check was a few months ago at 140 front and 130 rear, I think it might be a little higher after re-torquing head bolts recently but have not done another test.

Ski runs great except had a buddy rebuild the carb for me this year and for some reason have small amount of fuel coming out of air filter. But no difference in performance.

Any help for recommended mods and why I have fuel coming out my air filter would be appreciated

And yes all superjet fans planning on buying a
superjet in next few years but want to pass on the 750 to my son.

Thanks

Fuel might be comming back because of a broken reed or tuning issue making it way fat. Address the compression and fuel issue and get it running well. If you want freestyle, swirch out the finned plate. Otherwise id save ypur money for another boat. Your kid will be happy with whatever you guve him so the sooner you can afford what you want so you can ride together the better.

Thanks I'll check out the reeds and see if adjusting the carberatour helps any suggestion for a different ride plate instead of the ocean pro

You cant get the back end moving around with fins. You can probably get a stock one for free. Try that out and see how things go. Maybe you just want a stocker or a cut stocker, or want to spend money on some freestyle parts, or maybe you find that 750sx isn't great for freestyle and decide to set it up for bouys, then you keep the finned plate and you and your son share skis. What you have is already pretty good for bouys.

the first thing I would do is re-ring it so you can get another 24 years out of it. Then you can change the power delivery by playing with the pump. A smaller pump cone and bored reduction nozzle will let it spool up much faster. A big boy like yourself needs as much ride plate as you can get. I definitely would not recommend anything shorter than what you already have. 750s are fun play boats. not the best for freestyle and not the best on the course, but they are a great ski to go rip up the lake on.
