I thought I would show a few pics on the trailer I recently outfitted with a removable rack to haul 2 skis. I put down a rubber floor attached with liquid nails. Then I silicone caulked all of the way around. Installed E-track on the walls with 2x holders at the base in order to hold the rack. Turned out super sturdy. Just have to install bow stops.
The pipe is 2 3/4" corral pipe. It is primed with red oxide primer. Then coated with 3M Rubberized aresol undercarriage protectant made for automobiles. It creates a grainy rubber surface. I then rubbed the hell out of it with a bar of sex wax. The rack is removable in about 5 minutes of time.
