I have a chance to run a single 44mm buckshot carb on my rec ported 61x with protec pipe, what do you guys think? i heard they have issues with loading up and tough to tune.

Yes, I've run them a lot. You have to be OLD to know about them as Andrew hasn't done Buckshot carbs for at least 10 years.
Post a pic, there were several models.
The key to get them to run is huge low speed jet and smaller high speed jet, like 140 low/110 high.
They are a great race carb, but because they need huge low jets to work, they load up too easy for freestyle setups. especially the bullet atomizer type.
IMO, not a great carb for freestyle. Freeride ok as long as your a good tuner.
