bunch o blaster 2 questions???(3 or 4)

new to scene..here it goes..would compression be much diff if ski has sat for couple months, verses weekend of riding then check? has a purple riva ride plate, is this worth keeping? i premix since previous owner pulled oil pump, using yamalube at 40:1 with 91-93 octane, is that good? or with stock motor does it matter? it is second motor in ski,(oil pump proplem and threw rod) some thing like 50 hours on it...what is the biggest bang for the buck mod on a blaster 2? are there any must do mods? i lake ride, no surf(yet)..what is this lamey stuff i keep reading about?? and what is this bump i keep seeing in posts?

Us newbies have to stick together...lol

general rules:

compression- as long as both cylinders are close, your good
40:1 ok
read recent thread here called 'best mods'
lamey means lame motor, (actually) it's an expensive hi end motor mod.
bump- bring topic back to top, cause no one responded 1st time.

state what your ski has (specs/aftermarket parts)find out what is stock, and what is A/M. Include photos if you don't know.

Better yet, state in a matter-of-fact-tone that 'X' part is the best part, and watch the opinions come pouring in....(even if your not sure)

I have a B2 also. Just put some aftermarket f/a's on it and go. It takes alot of dough to get a b2 to perform any better than it does stock. Maybe a different prop for more top end. I ride mine in the surf mostly so for reliablity I left everything pretty much stock, including the oil injection. I did smooth out the casting lines in the pumps stator, if it helped im not sure.

Im not even sure if you can get a aftermarket pipe for the thing anymore. a used one pops up here and there but they go quick.
For a stock ski like the b2 you can run 91 octane with no problem.
The purple rideplate from riva is probably a "groovy" ride plate, im not sure if its much better than the stock ride plate.

My b2 was the first ski I bought 9 years ago. Now that I have a sj and a b1, I dont use it anymore. The SJ is by far much more fun to ride.

biggest bang for your buck ? IMO aftermarket head, raise compression to 175 PSI and you will really feel it out of the hole....the pro tec gasket head works good...that stock pipe works well and I have ridden a B2 with a pro tec pipe and a Factory Pipe and it's not worth the $$ (also read the Group K test report)...I have owned a B2 also for nine years and the higher compression with 93 Octane is the Shiat..
