Alright, I'm not one to usually complain or file a negative dispute, but after 3 negative interactions with buying parts I just need to let off a little steam!!

1. bought a "new" DVD box set from e-bay (Dexter season 1-4) for a reasonable price and was delivered in a timely fashion. Once I received it, I put the DVD in the player and what the you know, they are counterfeits with poor sound and video quality!!

2. Bough a used electrical box+ MSD enhanser in it here a couple months back for a great price. The buyer said the MSD was running when he removed the e-box last. received in a timely manner and of course, the MSD is shot...not a great deal anymore. Good news is that the seller is making it right

3. Bough some used carbs here as they were described as "perfect" condition at a very good price and received them in a timely manner . Once I inspected them, they had worn out throttle plates with excessive play and a frozen idler screw. Perfect condition...I think not! regardless, the seller told me that I got such a great deal and that so many people wanted them that I should not be upset about the throttle plates and he would send me 1 throttle plate.Well, I said, I really need 2. I guess i'm just a picky buyer and believe everyone when they say "perfect" condition WTF! maybe I should lower my standards!

Anyways, I guess things come in 3's and that was the last one! I have had many positive transactions here and on e-bay but it takes a few to give you a bad taste in your mouth!

alright , rant over and I'll just swallow my pill and just be more cautious next time by asking more detailed questions and requesting better pics

do the rest of us a favor and post up the seller of the carbs ..............If those were perfect carbs I would not want to buy anything from him with a '' perfect'' description !.... IMO

It was another board member selling them for a good friend of his so I would rather not bring him back into it. the seller offered my money back so "end of story"

The bottom line is make sure you ask the right questions and get some good detailed pics before assuming everything is as described in the ad

Will after watching 4-5 seasons of Dexter now you have a few Ideas how to help us out with the crappy sellers :sneaky:

Yes!! I will need to prep my shop with plastic sheets and then put up all of the crappy parts I got from the seller before I stick him with my impack driver and then cut him up into pieces, put them in my whaler and off to Haulover inlet...which ,BTW, is where dexter's apartment is located on the show !! hahaha!

great idea Dangerboy!

I agree... The more you know, the less perfect things become. When I first got in the game, perfect was "functional". Especially on ebay, perfect is "working when used last". I've started realizing that buying from guys like Jetmaniac and people who know what's going on is worth the extra money because most of the "good deals" end up costing me more time and money before I get what I really wanted. Sometimes you get lucky but we all have to roll the dice.

BTW...hope you reported the guy with the dvd BS.

Well, these definitely don't come in threes, I just got #4 (in a row) today.

1.Timing set that ends up being out of a different year than listed for a bike I'm putting together that I already have way too much into.

2. Lug nuts that are advertised as 14X2.0 come and end up being 14X1.5.

3. NEW helmet, the vinyl padding on the straps is flaking off and the helmet smells like azz.

4. Replacement wheel for my KX, the ad specifically states that there are no cracks, guess what, it's friggin cracked!

This little hobby is full of......... lets say less desirable business people. I believe it is probably the age and income level of people in this hobby. Just an opinion.

Hey Mark, I think it's something about jetskiers in general. They are a loose bunch, can't ever be on time, and are generally rowdy.

Must be that way for car and motorcycle businesses too.

The incompetence of the people I've been dealing with lately really makes me wonder how they have jobs with all the options employers have.
