So,

Has anyone made one yet? I've got the ring and steering nozzle from an 08 but obviously the ring is different than the raider (diff part number)

The ID measures 4.25" from top to bottom....is this the same as a raider ring? I'm thinking this ring may not offer as much throw if it's smaller.

Has anyone got the top to bottom ID measurement of the raider ring?

Cheers.

Ok, so no luck here...

I went out and found a raider ring and steering nozzle. It turns out the steering nozle is identical and the trim ring is the same physical size.

The only difference in the ring is tht the raider version extends into the steering nozzle a bit more for better water deflection. When you max out the steering on the 08 ring, there is a few small gaps either side of the ring. This wouldn't appear to be a problem though. So, for all you budding cats builders....the 08 ring and nozzle will work just fine and will offer identical up throw

Right on dude,

Idk if I will ever make one personally but thanks for doing the field work. Theres a lot of people who will read this, never say anything but benefit from it.

Hay Cam...

This is going on the XFT....I'm looking at running the Thrust Innovations cable, but not 100% sure...

The SN has been retired...over rotating flips tend to make your hull leak...oops!

Has anyone with an 08 done this yet? I was looking at it and It appears that a bit of grinding may be needed to get some good throw out of it. . ?
Anyone done this and know forsure??

There def needs to be some grindage done to the ring, as is it doesn't go much further than stock. The setup is perfect for CATS with the mounting holes and the steering cable end. There may be a problem with the steering cable binding on the pump if you've done a cheap quick steer mod.

I done on mine, you do not need any grinding whatsoever, and if you are doing the quick stering the stock cable will not work, it doesn't have enough throw, you will need a RN cable
