Can I put a stock 61x head on 62T cylinder?

Installing a red pipe on the spare SJ with a 62T/62T motor. I have a stock SJ exhaust bracket to mount the pipe to but the mounting bosses on the 62T head are not the same so the exhaust bracket won't bolt up.

I have a stock 61x head layin around, can I put it on the 62T cylinder?

Yes, as long as you use a 61x gasket (cooling holes are different) and the 62t is a 701

I would imagine that the 701 head domes are smaller than the 760 domes.

It will work fine. My SN build has a 61x head on on a 62t Raider engine for the Westcoast exhaust I was going to use.
