Case mods for 8mm

I've just finished epoxying up my cases in order to start machining the rod clearance for the 8mm stroker I'm using. I'm thinking I will try standing the cases on end and using my mill cut the trench with a boring head. Just curious to know how others do it.

That will work just fine.

Have you done this before?
Was having trouble coming up with a good setup but finally came up with something. Making up some custom tooling to do this properly. A standard boring bar on a regular mill would be too flimsey.
