Blaster Cast aluminum welders???

First thing... if you ever snap off a brass plug trying to remove it from a Pro-Tec exhaust manifold, DON'T try to use an EZ out to remove it. Else this will probably happen to you as well.

Ultimately I got it out by drilling it out (what I should have done from the beginning). So... anyone think it can be welded and retapped or just spend the money for a new manifold?

Any good machine shop can fix that. Put a aluminium threaded insert in there and weld it up. Or butter it up and thread it. I would put insert less heat issues.
