Changing color of anodized parts

Is it possible to have anodizing removed and redone in a different color? I have a handle pole that is currently purple, need it to be clear/blue/black etc, almost anything but purple.
I've sent emails and placed calls to a few places but I'm not having any luck.
Any suggestions?

I have had success using oven cleaner to remove anno from a paintball gun 10 years ago. Not sure if the technology has changed but that should still work

Yeah you totally can but don't want to ruin it trying a homemade remedy. I'd rather sell as is to someone who can use it purple and buy new than attempt it myself.

Having things anodized is expensive in small quantities. Get it all powder coated, cheaper..
That's what danco suggested. I have a local shop that I might ask. I think I'd rather sell and buy new than to have it powder coated but I'll talk to them first before making a decision.

Oven cleaner works very well, works like paint stripper tho.. If they blast it to coat it, it's never going to have that machined aluminum look that get with anodizing. You can do the clear powder coat but it doesn't hold up as good as blasting it and doing a nice hard coat.

Yeah that's really what I want, clear anno pole. I've convinced myself that a pole with a solid color will look goofy on this hull. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, there is a place here in OKC I use. It's cheap. They'll strip it and do whatever color you want. Clear wont be shiny because its not fresh billet anymore. It'll be a flat silver.. still looks good though, I did it to my black Cold Fusion parts.

You can strip it and find a anodizer that has a bright dipping tank and they can get the part nice and white before they add color and it will come out better than fresh machined billet that does not go thru the brightening process. All my JETTLab parts are bright dipped and they turned out phenomenal over just regular anodizing. If you cant find anyone shoot me a PM and i can get you in touch

I've stripped parts using sodium hydroxide. The process produces some smut though and the subsequent anodizing doesn't come out as nice. Like DAG said, I'm sure there are some places that can do it with much better results.

any place that anodizes can strip it and redo any color.not all that expensive and way better than powdercoat as it will come off if near any salt or brackish water
