charging system swap

Has anyone ever put a 760 charging system on a 650 or a 701??

Anyone known if this has been done??

Why would anyone want to do this??

The 760 was the first twin to have seperate timing between cyls. The rear cyl is retarded 2 degrees to deal with heat issues from crankshaft torsioning (twisting). Yamaha also lowered the rear cyl compression psi 5 pounds also to help this issue...so it is a less aggressive electrical system...:frown:

this stems from a guys on E-bay selling a complete 760 electrical system that is FOR a 650 or 701 and the 760.
I look at it as false advertising because if someone NEW to skis, or with lil knowledge were to buy the system for his 650 or 701 the guy would be sol.

I sent the guy a msg and he replied that EVERYTHING including the CDI will interchange.

If a guys CDI went out in his 650 and he bought this system from this guy. went to change out the CDI only because its advertised that everything will fit a 650.. thats just wrong.
I find people on ebay to be more dishonest these days...
Not to mention the sellers that wine and cry about not wanting to leave feedback first. If a item is is in good condition and listed as item is and shipped in reasonable time there should never be a problem.
Also costing 10 bucks to ship a gasket.

Send your stuff to John @ jet ski Solutions It might cost a bit more than what you want to pay but keep your equipment sealed and you will NEVER have another problem. go to his website and give em a call let him know I referred you he is a super cool guy and will talk with you about your problem. John loves working more than riding so i mean he is really interested.

S0.......will a complete 760 E-box work on a 650 or 701??? I was told there is 1 extra blue wire that is coming out of the CDI???

Is there a way to hook it up too work??

If you use the ebox electronics you need to use the 760 stator/flywheel.

Not sure if you can cut wires and splice..
