Cold Fusion question

I have the Pro Series Riser Bar Quick Steering System. Its sitting on a RRP pole setup. And the nut on bottom of steering plate will not stay tight. I've installed new bushings, added red loctite to threads on bolt on steering plate and allen bolt on side of nut. And it loosens when I'm riding. It gets sketchy. Thanks

That's the perfect idea for cleaning the threads and letting dry. I had trouble with mine way back and had to clean the threads with a toothbrush and acetone and let it dry for maybe 30" and then reinstalled the hardware with red Loctite and let it set overnight. It has held for 2 seasons now.

This is way off topic but the last post made me think of Joe Engel. He's the guy that my parents bought our house from when I was growing up. He helped found Loctite and was super smart, easy to talk to and just a good man...

And to add another detour to this post, his neighbor (who became our neighbor when we bought) was a founder of Cannondale bicycles, Joe Montgomery. Weird for two big industry dudes to be living in a small town in Ohio, as neighbors.

I made a plate with al bar stock that went on the bottom of my thrust steering. It just keyed into the one half of the nut and then I bolted it into place with the steering stop. Im kinda buzzed right now so this all makes great sense in my head pm me if you want a picture
