Super Jet Colorado Lake Riding - HD

Went out to a different lake this weekend. It was much bigger than my usual lake and there was tons of HUGE boats. It was fun jumping the wakes.

I got the sub down really well, and ended up ripping my chin pad off at the end of the day. :no:

My Dad got some good shots with his nice camera. Nothing too crazy, lake elevation is over a mile high. My carbs weren't dialed in 100% but it still ran well.

I like how my bilge is running in this picture.... haha

Looks nice! I'm in C-Springs so we usually go to Meredith it's about 1.5 hours southwest from me. Used to go to Pueblo but the inspections make it a pain in the butt. Also go to Navajo a few times a year. I've never been to any of the lakes north of Pueblo.

Just noticed this thread... JHD, I met you at Meredith last Sunday. I had the Octanes and my friend on his SJ. I had told icecooled007 about Meredith that weekend but he couldn't make it. Maybe we can all meet up there sometime again?

I've seen you at Boyd before. Haven't been to Horsetooth, thought it was Carter in the pics. Are they as stringent at Horsetooth? I want to try a different lake than Boyd since they have so many BS rules and regulations, 50% of which aren't even written down anywhere...

Ya I have never been pulled over at Boyd....but been pulled over at Horsetooth before. They didnt write me a ticket, but gave me warning for jumping wakes.

Boyd is the best to ride with the nice beach.... Horsetooth just as rick cliffs and super long no wake zones. Boyd is the best because you can be close to your car and just go ride when you want.

I've gotten a warning at Boyd for going the wrong way in the counter-clockwise area (and I get this when a boat towing a skier goes zooming by going the wrong way also), on Friday got one for jumping too close to a wake (got this when a 20' boat came blasting by me and my buddy while we were just floating, so we just started it up and accelerated and got a warning for jumping too close; and I looked, there's no rule saying you can't jump within 150'), got a warning because my dog's leash had come off of her, got a ticket for going to the swim beach (and there were literally 10 other giant boats parked there and only I got a ticket). My dad and buds got talked to for just floating in the water because a ranger thought they were 'swimming' and not at the swim beach. Got a warning for a wake. My dad got talked to by a ranger about the no-wake zone when he was idleing around in it (and rules say a maximum of 5mph in a wake area, nothing about 'no white water off the bow').

I hate the rangers at Boyd, they don't know what to do with jet skis, and then give stupid warnings and stuff. Like seriously? Why would you even give a warning about a wake on a stand up? A stand up giving the largest wake it can is still smaller than like the smallest of a larger boat. Good to know about horsetooth though and the rocks. Anyone gone to Cherrycreek? Is it any good there?

I'm gonna be at Meredith or Pueblo Friday and Saturday. A friend is delivering some snowmos to the springs, so my dad and him and I are gonna go to one of those lakes. Never been to anything on the skis other than Boyd, Carter, and Grandby.
