I was under the impression that stock GP800 compression is 120psi?
(At least that's what I keep reading in all those 66E conversion threads)

yep thats what my gp800 has for compression . i was worried about it been low when i brought it as well but after doing some research i was told 120psi is spot on the money . dont know if late model ones have more compression tho

well if the ski looks in good condition and starts and runs fine you cant go to wrong really . compression sounds good and wave eater clips is a huge plus. i dont know about the oil lines as mine is premix . its alot easer to have all your skis premix that way there is no confusion over what gas you have mixed and dont have mixed

No, I just picked up a GP800R...

Your compression is awesome! 120 - 120 doesn't get any better on these motor's!

Stop worrying and get out and ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :brap: lol

Yeah, i heard alotta :):):):) about the oil lines on yamahas for 2000 and 2001, mine was the sport boat with twin 1200pv motors but i doubt they used different oil line between the boat and the ski... change out those lines..., what i read most get brittle and old and fall off becasue they were left alone for 8 years...
