Considering selling our Nitro hull moulds
As some may have noticed, Nitro has evolved over the last few years and grown as a composites manufacturer. We now work across many industries, mainly motorsport which has taken over the business and allowed us to grow beyond what we ever thought possible when we began our journey with DJR Ltd.
I have recently been approached by someone asking whether we would consider selling our moulds which has opened up the conversation and we thought we would test the waters to see if anyone else would like to consider this opportunity whilst the thoughts are still very much in early stages.
My only criteria if this were to happen would be I would want to keep a mould for making my own hulls, for my own personal use only. All Worldwide commercial rights would be signed over to the new owner.
The hull is still, in my biased opinion, the best looking standup ever made and has not aged in terms of tech or rideability. Our layup and construction methods have all continued to evolve and improve over the years and all of this knowledge would be passed over to a new potential owner.
Our hull can be personalised for full flatwater super lightweight competition, or full surf setup with heavier layup, sponsons, surf fins, long rideplate and pole.
We have even made moulds for making a 'double backflip' capable bottom deck, rear deck stabilisers for beginners, pump tunnel adjustments etc etc…. There isn't a lot we can't do with it or show you how to do. Our hull is so versatile and really is a completely customisable platform and we have them out there doing all types of riding style and format.
There is too much to list of course, but to get the idea below:
Full composite training of the entire manufacturing process including vacuum resin infusion will be provided. I would ideally like to visit the new owner if we were to sell and build a hull with them from start to finish, and ongoing support will be free of charge as I want to see the quality and love continue with it’s potential new home.
All manufacturing equipment required such as vacuum pumps etc can also be provided.
All layup schedules, materials used etc
Material supplier lists and contacts.
No low ball offers as the hull is a huge part of our history and is of huge sentimental value, having said that, we are currently only producing them for personal use, which sadly I get very little time to ride at all and we do not have the workshop availability around our contract manufacturing obligations to produce on the scale they deserve.
We have not marketed our hulls for the past few years due to our business focus shifting to larger scale production yet we continue to get enquiries for hulls which we are currently turning away or offering longer lead times than we would like.
Shipment Worldwide would be no problem, we can load everything into a shipping container and arrange shipping.

- Ability to offer full visual carbon hulls, hybrid layups (kevlar, glass), full epoxy infusions, polyester and vinylester infusions, GRP, gel coat finish, clear coat etc etc
