I've been trying to get my parrents to buy a GP1200 or something to play on. They won't go for it though, when you have a nice ski boat it's hard to justify another toy like that.

GO MOM!! :brap:

My uncle on one side of the family gave me my first 650sx to borrow (I had it for like 4 years, but only rode it for like 4 months). Then my uncle on the other side of the family has 550's and a 750sx. My cousin goes out with me ever once in a while... and my older brother (16 years older) was hardcore in 650's when they first came out. I have a couple new paper articles with him and his friends riding them in the surf from like the early 90's. No one in the family owns a couch.

So basically Jetskiing is in my blood. That and alcoholism =( ... so I'm glad I only puff:smokin::439:

I have some friends who ride and some who don't. The ones that don't ride, I couldn't tell you how many times I've asked them to come to the water and we'll make a day out of it. Cook burgers, the whole nine yards. To this day, I still haven't been able to get them out. :banghead: The same goes with the boat. I haven't even been able to come out on that either. I guess I must be a boring person?

My dad's learning to ride my SJ he's almost 60, my mother hasn't tried yet... she hurt her back riding the couch so I don't think she'll be getting on the standup anytime soom.... I think mom will have the duty of driving boat making wakes :arms:

You're lucky your parents are still alive. I had great parents, but they've both passed. Count your blessings (eewww, that sounded preachy, sorry). Just appreciate having them, cuz chances are they won't be there your whole life.

My mother just passed away a couple of months ago, she always loved to play MS Flight Simulator with me, doing take offs and landings in the 747's.

Sorry if this thread is taking on a morose turn, so let me brighten it up...... I started riding couches at 49 and bought my first standup at 59.

My mother can't swim so she won't get on one. But my Mother-in-law rode a gp1200 for a few years like a racer. She was WOT from the time it started untill it ran out of fuel. I was like "don't you just want to cruise" LOL.. Anyhow she was 63 when she sold it. She sold it since we were the only ones that rode and didn't look right leaving my wife on the beach to ride with my mom-in-law. Anyhow my wife rides a little but she would rather lay on the beach and read a book...

I want an Iphone. Was it worth the money? Ive got a nokia 8801 right now that cost more than an iphone anyways. I figure ill sell it on ebay and then sell my ipod and itll pay for an iphone haha.
