Cooling Line Recommendations

I am running 3/8" OD SS thru hull lines in my js 750 swap but I need to be able to connect that to the pump/motor, is there a specific hose type y'all recommend for the soft cooling lines? I have used Venair reinforced silicone lines on my truck and runabouts but nothing smaller than 1/2"

Found this thread a few minutes after posting (https://www.x-h2o.com/threads/cooling-line-material-and-clamps.198298/#post-2050001) but nothing specific other than the fuel hose.

What is typical cooling system pressure?

you can use 3/8" air hose or if you want to be fancy you can use this.

Air hose of your choice works great. Check out HD, Lowe’s, HF, Amazon for a wide variety of just about every color. I’d stay away from the super cheap PVC stuff. I run the translucent blue air line with webbing inside from McMaster. Roughy $2 a foot. I liked the look and threw it in a big order of stainless hardware.

I thought I remembered seeing that but since I didn't know what pressure it was rated for, I wasn't sure about it.

I have had issues on runabouts with the clear braided stuff getting hot and melting/deforming under the hose clamps. Do you know offhand what the part number for the lines you ordered were? It has held up okay so far?

No issues at all. You almost don't need hose clamps on the barbed fittings, it's a MF to get off and have to work a pick under it. It has held up better than I expected to temp and abrasion. The thru hull to manifold line rubs on the B pipe head pipe, no rub marks only a little yellowing from the heat down by the starter area. Also rubs on the stinger, only slight wear since I put textured powder coat on the stinger. Going on 3 seasons with the same line.

5545K18 is the part number

3/8 air compressor hose from northern tool / harbor freight is the best bang for the buck. $17 for a 25ft roll or something like that. You dont need anything fancy. Fancy stuff is $3-$4 per foot.
