not to be a party pooper but if it is that big make sure you know what you are doing before you head out..just because it is huge dosnt mean you need to ride..ive nearly died twice in waves that i wouldnt even really call triple overhead and ive been surfing sense i was 5years old..you dont want to know what a two wave hold down feels like, trust me..on a ski you can get yourself into allot more trouble than you can surfing as well.. truthfully the average person would drown after taking a few 20footers on the head..just getting over whitewater when its that size is extreamly difficult in it self..if you lose your ski its pretty much gone if your at a big walled up beachbreak, maybe find a spot thats slightly protected..that said have fun and be safe and take some pictures...

Right on....hero's only on the outside. I'm not leaving the inlet.

The inlet will be near impossible to get through if the waves are that high.

Not trying to get through the inlet. Just hang out on the inland side of it and jump a few of the monsters after they become whitewash. Did it 2 winters ago in manasquan during a huge norester, when it was also wayyy to big to think about going beachside into. Its really humbling being out there and seeing nature's wrath upclose....well close enough. I know my role 1-2'overhead and on, I'll let the hero's charge it. I just want to see it from the water...from a safe distance. LOL.

If any of you nuts are going out to the inlet on sunday, I may bring the camera to the jetty that the lighthouse is on and take some pics, no way am I taking my ski in that lol. I may grab my surfboard though.

Agreed.
I had a similar near-death experience on a brand new Superjet (first time out with it...totally destroyed...split clear in 1/2...thankfully insured) during one of these storm sets, and in hindsight, there is no WAY I should have been out there in 12-15 footers.
It's not as cool or as easy as it seems. You CAN be killed.

at corson's you will be able to make it out of inlet i got nice spot for this where hopefully it wont close out. There some people who shouldn't be out in it at all. I got my crew who I trust to go with when it gets this nasty.
