Costs of shipping a ski

Location
Kuwait
hi, I am thinking of buying a ski in the continental USA, specifically a stocking waveblaster and shipping it to Kuwait. Does anyone have an idea how much that will cost me if I use ocean freight? There are users from all over the world on this forum so I'm wondering if anyone has done something similar to this? Any riders in the Middle East who have done this? I set up a listing on uship but I haven't gotten any bids yet. The skis I am looking at are in Los Angeles and Florida if that helps. Thank you.

Easy to get a budget quote from a shipping agents, get at least 3, as prices can vary a lot. You just need to give them the estimated size of the crate(actual weight will be far less than volumetric weight so they work on volumetric), departure and delivery points.

I've done some freight to Kuwait from the Midwest before but it was 40ft shipping container, and that was 2007-2010.
according to a few calculations based on gross weight and measurements the fair market cost is between $375.28 - $414.78
from Ft. Lauderdale Florida to Shuwaihk, Kuwait. I figured you weren't north in Doha but could be wrong.

that is without taxes or duties added.

Also a little off topic but where do you ride in Kuwait? I lived in Mina Al-Zour for 6 years and it was pretty great being on the water everyday. Used to ride with some guys that had beach houses in Binaider (sp)

I ride very close to braider and sometimes by the bay in Khiran. I wish we had surf waves like you guys do. Right now, I'm leaning towards the waveblaster in California and I wanted to make sure the shipping wouldn't put the ski out of my budget. I would be so happy if the shipping costs would come out under 500-600 dollars.

Yeah it shouldn't be bore than that. I remember some days it was seriously glass on the water and we would go out to the shipping lane markers and follow the wakes all the way in from the tugs. good times! hope you get your ski in time for some comfortable riding weather.

I love the sea when it's like glass and it's clear. Riding an sj feels like I'm flying when I look down.

What years were you in Kuwait?
