Hey guys i hate to do this but my bro's in a jam. he's got a 2001 GTX DI and it wont start.
Heres what happens
- put key on
- fuel pump turns on for 3 sec or so
- MAINT and red light are both flashing
- won't start ( doesn't even try)
- every time you try to start it all it does is turn on the fuel pump thats it
What i've tried
- took the battery terminals off for 5 minutes or so
- held the SET button for 2 seconds (all that does is go to the setting option to set the language)
- checked the battery charge
Is there a way to reset it or is there something seriously wrong?
I figured it was just a factory maintenance setting to come on every certain amount of hours?
220 hours on the it.
Any info would be great!
