So I picked up a newer Loadrite couch trailer really cheap. Obviously designed to hold those 15' barges. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to adjust the bow stop to accommodate my superjet I'm getting next month. Looking for ideas. I haven't picked up the trailer yet so I haven't taken measurements.
I was thinking about sliding the winch post back and flipping it around to angle back and sliding the winch up. That might be just enough to reach the nose of the SJ with the weight centered on the bunks slightly forward?
I can't weld but not opposed to taking it to a trailer place and having something done. If I go this route I'd have something like a cross beam put on with a straight bow post and one of those bow pin stoppers made. Then I can also add a smaller A frame style box installed in the front of trailer.
Does anyone here use a couch trailer? Looking for other ideas.
