Super Jet Cracked flywheel cover

Just bought a '90 Superjet, my first ski. The previous owner somehow got a small 2" crack on the front of the flywheel cover and just JB Weld-ed it and said he had ridden it like that for awhile. Should I be in a hurry to replace it? I've ridden it a few days now and it seems fine. Still wondering how that could have happened.

Replace it, I've got a stocker with a new bushing or a billet one. Don't JB weld it, I'd sell my stocker cheap.

You can pick up a stock one relatively cheap. I wouldn't take any chances. Especially if your running in salt water.
