Hoping to put the cases together this weekend on my 61x and wanting to know what the bearing crush should be? Also anything else on/in the bottom end I should check clearances on?

Plastigauge thread all over again... really? There is no crush for roller bearings. IMO, you are overthinking this.

Correct, I really don't want to have to pull this engine apart again. I am hoping by measuring the crush I can tell if the cases are good.

You're just not getting this... Put your engine together and go for it or find a professional to do it for you. You're asking four-stroke questions on a very basic 2-stroke setup.
The answers were all given in your Plastigauge thread. There is NO CLEARANCE spec for the roller bearings! Period. They are a slight interference fit in the cases. All of this (minus the ring BS) was covered in your other thread. @4SeasonsPower explained it all, very well and very nicely.

You are apparently in over your head. Seek help. Not on a forum. At the very least, go download a copy of the SJ service manual and read the case assembly and inspection notes. NOTHING about CRUSH or Plastigauge there... nope. Is the factory manual wrong and incomplete?

What makes you think there is something wrong with your cases?
Is your crank new or used? That is your more likely source of failure if it is used. No way to check it unless you send it to a pro (or at a minimum know what bad bearings feel/sound like from EXPERIENCE)

I'm honestly trying to help you, but when you ask the same irrelevant questions over and over, then it seems to me that you might want to get someone more experienced to do it for you. Money well spent there...

I'll add this too... If there were a "crush" spec for the cases, then they would only be able to be used once. And then tossed out. Similar to "torque-to-yield" fasteners.... whoops, talking over your head now... sorry.

the cases have dowel pins where the crank bearings ride. make sure all pins and holes are lined up before you put the bottom case on. did you know that the stupidest people have the biggest traps? when ever somebody asks them a question, they shrug their shoulders. the dumber you are the more shrugs you are gonna do : )=

=) I appreciate the responses. The crank that was in it had a bad/worn bearing and I am hoping to keep that from happening again. It could have been bad/worn when whomever before me installed it, but better safe then sorry. As far as the new thread, not everyone knows what plastigauge is.

Who ported your engine? Why don't you ask them about your cases? You obviously don't appreciate the answers that you're receiving here. Maybe you should have them check your cases.

x2 on what RMBC said!
Contact a builder, it's always super helpful. When I've got technical questions that I need cleared up, I call up zack @ powerhouse performance and he's really helpful.
You got your cylinders ported by chucke/nuklear6 right? Ask him what he thinks :)

Btw, I would highly recommend you look into a clymers manual. They're very helpful.

I dunno if there's an online download for it. I had to buy mine off of Amazon.

Look for .002" interference at 70*F. Case/bearing fit gets no attention because its not a problem, even when they are severely worn. All wear can be eliminated with careful surface prep and loctite. It really doesnt matter, I saw a set of horribly chaffed cases on a race engine that never caused problems.
