I would not want that blowing apart in a set of expensive ported cases... Sometimes the little performance gain is not worth the risk..... Good try though....

Has anyone had a lightened flywheel like this fail? IMHO if it was balanced properly, I don't think it would be any weaker then the typical (THIN) lightened flywheels people run.

We used to lighten them like that back in the old 440/550 days and it was good for few tanks, then grenade!
