Just wanted to share this with yall
I recently purchased a hull from a guy in central florida and had it shipped to me in nor cal.
It was 380$ for a 90"x 31" x 27" crate @ 200 lbs shipped tracked and insured with a lift gate at both pick up and delivery.

I used daylight transport or daylight freight. Roadrunner was about 10 bucks more but also would have taken 2 days longer.

Shipping these things has become very easy and now very affordable. I just googled online freight quotes.
Dont be afraid to ship or buy, it is really easy. This is my 4th time using freight and it is only getting better and cheaper!

Yea, it's his prototype glass version. Not the carbon one.
He offered it up for cheap I couldn't pass it up!

He isnt selling the carbon one yet. But I think he is planning on making them in the future.

Lmao, very sarcastic. Started a new career, super busy with that and the usual holiday stuff happening plus I am getting married in 30ish days. So the money is spent, the time is spent.... guess I'll just have to wait for a bit.

I am very mistrusting if it comes to shipping ....but everyone has different experiences......

its always relative cheap if its not insured, they will tell u it is but the standard coverage is only between 2,500-5,000 some even a lot less ( its not an actual insurance ), its almost no where disclosed but its actually not "really" insured unless you purchase that extra, often as much as the shipping cost especially if you ship RTR skis 20-40 K

proof of burden of proper packaging/crate interior and exterior ( pictures ) and receipts showing actual $$ figures of build and or purchase ( and pictures ) are a must ...

also be well informed if you are switching carriers during transport and have overnights or its staying on one truck...some of these in between hubs will receive Fridays and it will get stuck at the facility for multiple days.

piece of mind throw " a tile " in the crate or something similar that way u can keep track at least around bigger hubs.

Our ski got lost from east to west coast , and we had a time constraint ( competition ) and i ended up having to drive to Phoenix to pick it up ( it should have been delivered to Havasu )......after they actualy told us for several days that they dont know where the crate is....

I bought a hull that was suppose to be delivered in October, paid 6k for hull not including PayPal’s fees and paid 50 bucks for insurance. Uship company their driver never showed up to house and turns out guy was in jail for ripping people off. Did not get my refund till Late Dec. They “Uship” had to perform an investigation! I could not contact Uship about issue because I did not technically pay for the insurance, the seller did. Uship apparently has 500 deductible as well so with insured hull for 6k even tough I paid about 6,300.00. I ended up losing about 800 bucks and not having a hull. Hopefully this weekend I am driving 8 hrs away to go and finally pick up a hull. I am bringing a chain and lock to lock it to truck so hopefully it doesn’t get stolen out of truck when I stop. Moral of story you pay for insurance add deductible, add PayPal fees and insurance fee to make sure you get your money back$$!
