cutting turf for footwells

when you cut your side mats leave a extra chuck of mat where you holds are at. after you stretch and glue down the turf just cut away the extra. same with the bottom mat, mold it down in the foothold and cut along the crease after you glue it down. get you a can of contact cement and do a couple coats on the mat and ski and let it tack up for about 10 min. when you lay the turf down it will instantly bond and stay in place making it easy to mold into the holds. a heatgun helps you make the curves easy.

Turfing a ski is fun for me... Excet this part, it took me almost all of my Bstock to get mine turfed. It was terrible.

Someone has to have some templates. If I remember right I just crammed it in w/out glue and cut off the creases till I had it right. Maybe I'll use a piece of thin carpet to try and get the cuts in it to cover the inside of the foot hold as not to waist my mats this next time...
