650/X-2 D-cut ride plate

Has anyone done a d cut to the stock ride plate seems kinda thin and thinking it would crack because its just cast or even an after market d cut plate

Gets the nose up, and the water travels the center giving a better handling feel.

I have an extended ride pate because I'm a big guy. This would not be something I would not want to do right?

great mod for surf. i cut my old waverunner plate, helped it pick up speed and handles better. but she porpoise's much more then before. but then again i only ride super calm or medium-large wakes.

My stock plate was terrible. It would porpoise all the time. I bought a jet dynamic extended ride plate. Stop the bounce but plants the nose and makes it a little unstable. I ordered a new ocean pro extended plate that should be here in a few days. My thought on the d cut is I would probley hate it if it porpoises worse. I ride a calm lake for the most part.

Get a stock plate and give it a go. You might be surprised. I hated the extended plate on my X2...d cut the stock plate and never went back.

??? How much to cut out of a stock ride plate ? Just cut the hull back 2 inches too ? Thanks
