Freestyle DASA 970, PFP, 148 pump what prop?

I'm gathering props to try once this boat hits the water in a few weeks. As the title says, DASA 10mm 970, PFP, enhancer (don't bash I have my reasons for it) and a 148 MAXX pump. So far for props I have a 11/17 and 13/21 I picked up used. Is anyone running something similar that can offer prop sizing and nozzle bore?

Thanks

Ive ridden similar setup with a 14/19 prop. Hit wicked hard.

Steve's green freak? Pretty sure that was on a b pipe. I rode it last summer at Lake Erie. I'm a little skeptical comparing to b pipe setups after reading that the PFP is going to make power later in thr rpm range than the b pipe, so the pump/prop needs to be there when the motor comes on the pipe.

13/21 should be close. :)

Depends very much on the amount of setback, cone size, and reduction nozzle diameter.

Matt,
I spoke with this gentleman in person, and in great detail, at Wavedaze 2 weeks ago about his setup. I sold him the 13/21, as it was one of my better choices for my 10 mil Dasa. It should be very close based on his setup. That was the reason for the smiley.

Yes you did and thanks again for the help. I just want to have a few to try when it's time.

No worries man.....just ribbing Matt a bit. Hit me up if you have questions. An assortment of different size nozzles can help you dial it in. If you are at one nozzle extreme or the other and it's getting better, then look at the next size prop.

Funny how close all the suggestions are. Matt ran a 13/16 (he thinks) Thrust says 13/18 and I have a 13/21 to re pitch a little bit. Can someone explain how critical the trailing edge pitch is?

Your motor will tell you what it wants when you test it ;). Leading edge has far more effect than trailing edge. Ultimately, you fine tune for riding style with props and nozzles to maximize acceleration. There are several root pitches (cores) of impellers. With the same pitch but different roots (or cores) they will still act different even with the same pitch number. Repitching sometimes has less effect because you don't get as much of the blade as with a true pitch block or a new prop. The prop you have was too small for my 10 mil. See where you are at before you worry too much about pitches and numbers. Feel free to give me a shout if you need help with it.

I hope so, I think ill be happy with it. I tried to fit it without a washer and the hub right where the blades start is bottoming out on the pump. A trip to the lathe should get me back to where I want to run it.
