I'm just starting in mountain biking. A local bike shop sold a used giant anthem (XC) medium to me. The bike is both too small and not aggressive (front fork rake and travel) enough for me. I need a large trail bike. I'm most interested in a giant trance or specialized stumpjumper. I've also looked into enduros but we have been riding XC so I'm concerned about a loss of peddling efficiency.
I'll be at the freeride if anyone has something that could be brought to discuss. PM me, I'm ready to buy right now. Looking used in the 800-1500 price range. I'd like to find a 29er or 27.5 stumpjumper fsr comp or a Trance 2.
Going to give my anthem to my wife, since its the right size and I don't see her riding as aggressive as I will.
