I d-cut mine and really liked it. I tried out a jet dynamics this weekend and it made the ski feel SO heavy. I am switching back to the d-cut before I go out again.
ONce I get below half a tank of fuel, it feels like ive got 20 more HP.
the D cut ROCKS, flat water, I can stand in the tray, and just modulate the throttle, no legs or arm pumping or pulling, and get the ski completely out of the water nose UP.
I tossed my Jet dynamics extended plate, D-cut the stock plate and removed the ends of the side rails so they don't drag the ski down, Now it slides but tracks nice. The nose is way up especially with light waterbox, it doesn't plow through the waves like the stock boat but it's built for freestyle anyways. I'm gonna put a cart tank, why not?? I can't ride far anyways...
i love mine for flatwater the back end breaks loose quick and easily not good for racing around but fun for tricks and i think it increased stability at high speed which is kinda weird, but the front is light and pops up quick, its a fun and quick mod.
