Gonna take my SJ, probably let them rent some couches. Anybody know any decent, reasonably priced hotels in the general area that are ski friendly? Launch areas, etc.? Thanks.
Just be careful west of Panama City. We were there close to the Grayton Beach area, and the county we were in did NOT allow any PWC's on the beach. Any powered vessel was not allowed within 300 feet of the beach!!!
We also couldn't find anywhere launch. We had to go to Lake Powell, put them in and ride them through a TINY channel that was only 10 inches deep in some spots to make it into the Gulf.

We have launched there also a few years ago when we stayed at Pinnacle Port. Sometimes that tiny channel does not exist! Other times it is a cake walk. We have had to stop the skis 100 yards short of the ocean and tote them by hand. Of course that was before we got smart and found a beach tote.
What about freshwater? Any couch rentals on area lakes, where I could also put the SJ in?
Since waves are small there that time of year freshwater would be a lot less work, & the kids wouldn't whine about saltwater in their eyes.:cat40:

Cool,:arms: where do you live Chic? PCB?
Lake Powell IS the county line more or less, but I don't know about any rules that prohibit riding altogether in Walton County. Bay County (PC and PCB area) has the same 300 YARD rule as Walton County. :banghead: Bay County's area extends from the inlet at Shell Island and St. Andrews State Park west to the county line. In front of Shell Island is a 100 yard buffer, unless the Bluewater Network has gotten that changed, as well.![]()
