devastating results with bondo resin?

i just ordered some diggers from blowsion and im gonna put them in my square nose. im not feelin really wealthy and i have some bondo fiberglass resin in my garage that i was hoping to use for the install. i read that epoxy resin should be used. im not sure what that is but if i use what i have, what will be the consequences? also, i was hopin not to defoam my ski but sounds like i might have to do that as well... ive been readin around on this forum tryin to soak up information but everyone has a different way to do it it seems. basically, what else do i need to buy and do for success?

Thanks,
Brad

okay well i just sold my 650 so i have some more money. im thinking about throwin a one way valve in it and maybe defoaming it. ive seen people use 3lb? and maybe the slutty hood mod. i just dont get how air gets to the engine after this mod is done... thanks for all the quick responses!

well i ordered som 3lb foam and some 4 to 1 epoxy resin from us composites to be sure it sticks. im just going to do the footholds, no defoam for now.... i plan on using rivets and possibly the resin to put the footholds in so i dont have to wai 7 days for 5200 to dry. then will glass over and put 2 layers averywhere including all the way across the tray from one hold to another.

if there is a major flaw to my plan let me know. i just feel bad tearing off this BRAND new whte hydroturf to do it. maybe some can be salvaged lol

thanks
Brad

Dude I was told to only use poly on the topdeck of a rn cuz the sn is smc( plastic) and epoxy is all that will adhere well enough to make it structually sound, I used same stuff on the nose of my sn and ended up having to cover it with epoxy resin and more glas
