Freestyle Digital total loss setup= what am I doing wrong?

Ok so I'm setting up my static timing on the total loss and I found TDC of the front cylinder and drew my line to Mach up with the TDC marking on the flywheel. I'm trying to set my static at 30 degrees. Then I turn the motor until the light comes on the MSD module but with the trigger plate maxed out in the advanced direction I can only get 25 degrees. I can't be reading Somthing right.

Just double checked and after I mark TDC and spin the flywheel clockwise and with the trigger plate maxed out in the advanced direction I only get 25 degrees when the light comes on

No, same either way. Wonder if Somthing is messed up wth the trigger plate or pickups

Ya 25 is way short, how accurate is your TDC ? I use a degree wheel and a positive piston stop or a screw in dial indicator and find true TDC within the piston dwell at tdc

We think this TL came off the old EME micro so not sure if it's different somehow

Once you find tdc i think you first rotate counter clockwise about 90 degrees then rotate clockwise if your facing your flywheel. Watch the degree wheel when your light flashes. You want it to trigger before tdc not after. Your doing it the wrong way i believe, it's been awhile i may be wrong.

I have tried turning it both ways and it triggers at 25 degrees BTDC for both cylinder triggers with the plate maxed out in advanced.
